I bought a Performance Engines IO-550 for our yet to be completed IV. Due to problems encountered by me and many others with this company, I have elected not to use it. My trust in Performance is such that, even though the engine has never even been started, it is now in Tulsa being rebuilt as a Barrett Engine.

Has anyone had experience with Performance Engines in Laverne, CA?  If so, good or bad reviews?  If bad, who do you guys like out there for a TSIO -550 in a IV-P?  I have a quote from TCM for a stock engine, just exploring options.  I recall some bad stories last year but don't remember the shop names.
