Ronald,

Dan Newland is the guy to talk to about these issues.  He is the guru on aircraft insulation – did it for a living for 20 years – still consults with the company he worked for.

He has kits for some Lancair models and can give you lots of information and advice depending on your goals.

Hello guys

I am about to to my panel (in a week or 2) and at the same time like to insulate my firewall with insulation. The panel will be re-done a bit so this is a good opportunity to do so.

Now there are some opinions out there about eight etc. But the way I see this is, that a few pounds more or less…….well if I go out in the weekend that is what I eat or loose LOL

So what thickness of insulation (and I like to install the best) would you recommend putting there? (and yes we need to cut holes for the things that are already mounted on the firewall)?

And how about the floor boards? Thanks

== Ronald 33 hours and counting…..

Ps it looks like we found the issues with the AC, at least yesterday it was working fine, today testing it again after doing a re-charge of the system, will keep you posted, thanks so far :)
