My thinking is that it's too easy to ruin them with a bad landing, = crosswinds, short runways, etc.... The first time I attempted max braking on a landing I flat spotted the = mains. It only takes a second. The design of our planes is very hard on the rubber. (High speed, tiny = wheels and limited control effectiveness on landing) If anyone else has experience with other tires that would be a better = value, I'd be interested also.
