My A&P called today to tell me that a Lancair 2 place airplane was flying
near Pueblo, CO when the iv-p N997PJ Ron Galbraith described had the window
blow out at 22,000'. The details are still missing but I was informed that
it was the pilot window that shattered. The 2 place taxied up next to the
iv-p to view the damage. Beyond that I know nothing. I don't know if the
window AD was complied with or not. It does however make me wonder if
iv-p's are better off flown pressurized at lower altitudes where the
pressure differential is lower. John Wright iv-p Colorado Springs
