Jeff, if your probe is connected to a Garmin or King GPS or any of the airdata computers/EFIS boxes then those boxes will compute the static air temp for you.  In the Legacy it goes thru my Avidyne and in the TBM it goes into the data bus and displays on the KLN-90 pages.  All the airspeed and altitude and airdata calcs are already done.
