Most of you probably have heard enough about the cable end story...  But I
won't let it die!
I have two cables for my L-360, and questions about each of them.

The prop control is a McCauley unit, and the "arm" where the B-nut attaches
is 0.25" thick - this is too thick for any of the B-nuts listed in the
Aircraft Spruce book.  Am I the only one with this problem?  It is a rear
mounted unit on a 360.  The arm on the governor moves through it's range of
motion almost entirely on the pilot side, sarting at the lower part and
moving upward until it is almost "12 o'clock" on the governor (full pitch).

So I could use a threaded control cable and put a rod bearing on the end,
but that may be very difficult because of the significantly larger area
required for the threaded rod - it seems like they need a "straight" clean
shot at the prop governor of about 8" and I don't have that much room.  The
10-32 threaded control cables look like they have less of a length
requirement, but I can't find a rod end bearing to fit 10-32 with a .19"
bore.

Also, how have others clamped the cable??

For the throttle cable, I just can't decide whether or not to use a threaded
cable with a bearing (but same problem there as the prop cable - length
requirement) or a rod and a B-nut (with a few washers...).

What thinks the list...?

Thanks,

Matt
