I recently converted my older (comfortable friends) passive SoftCom stereo headset(s) to ANR using ANR Headsets http://www.anr-headsets.com (I believe they are manufactured by Headsets Inc.) conversion modules and I am quite satisfied. For less than $300.00 I purchased the conversion kit and a new set of D/C gel ear pads. I spent a bit more than an hour to install the first one and about 40 minutes for the second installation. I recently flew with Fred Moreno in his 182 to Las Vegas (thanks again Fred). He had a brand new set of Lightspeed 25XL for me to use and they too were very nice after acclimating to the "clamping" effect, which quickly became unnoticeable. It was a toss up for me. I did not try out the music part of the Lightspeed, but music quality is not what I am after in a headset. If I did not already own a set of headsets that I was happy with, I would consider the purchase of a set of Lightspeed ANR. Brent Sanchez LNC IV-P in progress [I didn't really focus on the 'clamping' forces of any of the headsets I tried out, I guess my sub-7 hatsize precluded it from being an issue . I did notice that all of the gel-padded headsets really got the area around my ear to sweating, I guess that's the price you pay for comfort and a decent soft seal. ] >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
