I have a Bendix/King KLX-135A GPS/COM in my Lancair and have always updated the data base by purchasing their floppy disk update, which updates via a serial port on my PC. For the first time, this week, I decided to update by way of down-loading their loader program as well as the data base directly. Works as adcertised and saves about $30 per update ($70 vs $100 for the disk). Anyone out there using any of the Bendix/King units ought to give it a try - saves a few bucks and there's no waiting for the update to arrive in the snailmail.
