Stubbornly, I still used it, but just for the ram-air door. Failure mode was with the wire. It was cut off inside the wire grip. This happened twice before I finally replaced this with a solid-rod cable. It is possible that I over tightened the grip, thus causing the wire to break. Hollis, could you please let us know where your failure mode was? In any case, using these wire-grip component has lead to four (4) failures that I know off and felt it purdent to post this info...
