First and foremost, I'd like to congratulate Hollis on his first flight.  Congratulations Hollis!!  Well done.  Also, ditto to Mike Dehate.  Now,  get those first flight pictures to us as soon as you can...  On Hollis's post, he mentioned, as a final recommendation,  not to use single strand control cable on anything important.  I would go one step further and recommended to use only the solid rod cables with the threaded ends exclusively for ALL your control cables.  If you must use the solid-wire cables, please do not use the wire grip end, part # 05-16000 or part # 05-16001 sold by Aircraft Spurce.  At first glance, the wire grip end looks like it will work fine and engineered well.  IT IS NOT and there is a very good chance it will break.  You are probably better off using the more conventional 'cable end "B" nut', also sold by Aircraft Spruce.  I have NOT used these but know of others you have and have not had any problems.  Rick Argente
