I ran into the same problem you describe. My solution was to move the whole
bulkhead back 1.5 inches to achieve the desired gap at the window and to
eliminate the 350 bracket. If the seat bottom and seat back are properly
joined then the 350 bracket is  just adding weight without contributing to
the bulkhead strength.

I have built two IV-Ps and tested both to 7.5 PSI with no problems.
