I've found that a viable alternative to the big dollar brand ANR headset's is to convert your own to ANR.  I've converted several David Clark's to ANR using the kit listed in several flying magazines.  The conversion is easy, only slightly heavier then stock & I feel the sound quality was better then $1K Bose ANR's & they were lighter.  So for those who have headset's already I think it's a great alternative to buying new.
