Being one of the cheap variety of human products, I
thought I would take advantage of one adult progeny arriving in the US of A, to
return to Oz with a few little items from Lancair and Aircraft Spruce to save
on exorbitant international freight fees on the one hand, and to annoy him on
the other by expanding his baggage.
SO, on or about 2nd February, I ordered two
Lamb 11.400.5 8 ply tyres plus a couple of other small sized items and had them
delivered to his mate’s address where he would pick ‘em up. The
small items were sent but along with the emailed order confirmation was a
comment from AS that the tyres were on back order, and would be available (and
presumably forwarded) on 28th February.
Prodigal –Oops – I mean #2 son –
duly arrived at his American mate’s place three days ago, and no Lamb
Tyres!@#*@$!!!
So he called me on Skype (see- raised him well to be
cheap), and advises. I already assumed as I had not received notification from
AS, and no payment had been deducted.
So he called Aircraft Spruce yesterday (Thursday US
time), and they advised, and I quote: “you’ll be lucky if they are
available by June.” Well, almost a quote.
So, my question is, has anyone LML’er had any problem
getting Lamb Tyres lately?
Fortunately I don’t need them yet, as I was just
taking advantage of the inconvenience caused by prod….er - #2 son
bringing them back after 38 years of angst, but mainly for cheap freight of
course.
Meanwhile, Easter Greetings to all.
Xin Ciao
