Rob, I don’t have pictures but I mounted my high pressure MH
O2 bottle on the forward side of the main spar box, on the left side. The regulator
and on/off valve is thereby very accessible to the pilot if needed. I put four
face masks each in small plastic food containers mounted sideways on the side
of the fuselage at about knee position to each occupant. They are normally
covered with their standard lids to keep them clean and out of the way, but
easily removed to access the mask when needed. A snap-in connector (MH) is
mounted to the side of each container. I plan to keep the front pair plugged in,
and to plug in the rear seat pair if/when we have passengers back there. (I
have not yet flown)
I’ve seen lots of installations with the connectors
mounted in the overhead. A nice looking installation, but more tubing, more
complex and the lines “in your face” when you plug them in for
use.
Just one person’s opinion…
