I replaced my original valve (supplied with the kit) with a Swagelok valve in 1994, less than a year after first flight at about 60 hours.

Here's an additional thought. The kit supplied fuel shut-off valve was of the same quality so I replaced it with the same P/N valve at the same time. One neat thing about the valves I used is that they are available with several different handle colors - so if it's something you care about, you can opt for different colors to match the service. I chose green for the gear dump valve and red for the fuel shut-off.
