emag/pmag is now showing products to display and change timing.

re: PRISM.  Vaporware is sw that doesn't work yet and therefore cannot be manufactured.   Far as I can tell, PRISM actually does work but the supply chain is not worked out for manufacturing.   However, the effect is very similar to vaporware...
Colyn,

When I first looked at PMAGs, they had no experience with anything other than a single EMAG on a Lyc 360.  I am not even sure the 360 was injected, let alone with a higher compression ratio.  Thus the move from LASAR to LSE.

xMAG have come a long way in the last few years - 24 software versions, redesigned options and finally a display, albeit requiring a serial ported laptop (unless you carry your desktop on flights).  You can even dicker with the timing curve - What more could one want?  If I were looking today, I would more seriously consider PMAGs.

Vaporware is undelivered product promise.  The promise of PRISM has been around for a long time.  It is still not available.  I live in the present.

BTW, here is Wikipedia's overly strong definition (probably after having gone thru many experiences):

Vaporware is a software or hardware product which is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge, either with or without a protracted development cycle. The term implies unwarranted optimism, or sometimes even deception; that is, it may imply that the announcer knows that product development is in too early a stage to support responsible statements about its completion date, feature set, or even feasibility.
