I used the same spray glue method with high temp rtv on the edges. It has worked very well so far... No turbo's for me though...

I used 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive then sealed the perimeter with Dow 730 solvent and fuel resistant RTV adhesive. 14 years later even the parts next to the
turbos are doing fine.
