I converted my  235 to an IO320 after flying it for 200hr.  I now have about
200 more hours on it.  The engine has the sump modified to accommodate a
front facing Airflow Performance fuel controller.
No changes were required to the top cowl.
The bottom cowl had to be extensively modified to accommodate the exhaust
tubes which are about an inch wider.   I also relocated the air inlet to the
front of the cowl by grafting on a fiberglass piece which is in the Lancair
catalog (SC-01).  This came out nice and made the job easier.

I can supply more pictures if you want them.
I also added a rib inside the tail to strengthen it and 12# of lead in the tail.  My empty weight went from 980# to 1035#.  This modification makes the
plane a lot more fun,  I strongly recommend it.
