You want drop dead reliability on any ignition system. Having the ignition powered through the key switch requires the master switch to be on to have ignition capability. There may be situations where you will need that ignition to work when the master is off. (various electrical failures, etc) I had my Electroair system powered with a wire to the positive battery terminal with one very reliable switch on that wire.
