I have a 3 year old LVPT completely Lancair. A 601E with electric air conditioning and 2 small intercoolers in the bleed plumbing. Got 220 hours on it with very little trouble. Lancair support was very good during building and after. This plane is great. I have no regrets. Have had 4 folks in the plane 4 different times. 4 of us took a flight in Tom Zedakers IVPT. By the way, his is a John Cook version and very nice I might add. I've had 3 in the plane a number of times. Even a very large 6 foot plus guy who rode in the back seat said it wasn't uncomfortable, certainly not worse than an airline coach seat! I set 33 gallons per hour in the low 20's and TAS registers between 300 and 305 in the summer over Las Vegas. Fly to Santa Rosa CA a lot. The TAS increases to 305 to 310 crossing the Sierra Nevada. Winter time with closer to standard temps yields 315 TAS. By the way, when flying I usually don't think "gee I ought to set max cruise ITT cause somebody may be monitoring my flight on flightaware!"
