Your point was correct in that they don't want to be bothered by pilots that might want to buy and use their product. They've chosen a different business model, namely, they are marketing to the OEM who is going to design and build the EFIS and related software. That's who you're going to buy and use the AHRS from. They would rather provide intense, in depth information to one or two people from an EFIS designer than hundreds of pilots...who will never directly buy an AHRS from them.
