Take it for what it's worth. I know of at least one Legacy that uses a single com antenna driven by the radios through a duplexer. (Not a diplexer, they are quite different.) The com antenna is mounted in the molded recess on the belly. The only special consideration was using star washers between the mounting plate of the antenna and the bare carbon fiber of the skin. I've flown in the plane, and listened to it on my handheld. The radios work great.
