It was Bob's a year ago....it's now mine, and I'm darned proud of it!

Despite what amounted to an 8 month battle (I can't count how many times they threatened to take legal action - a great PR tool, eh?) with Continental to get the FADEC *removed* from the airplane (even they admit it is *still* developmental), I am very pleased with the airplane.

Yes, I have mentioned this in some fashion before, however, I think it is important to understand for those considering this system that even the engine manufacturer did not want the system in an "everyday user's" airplane.  I also think it is important to understand that getting the FADEC worked on requires a factory engineer....can you wait weeks/months for them to schedule a trip out from Mobile?  Field service of this system is nonexistent.  And I also feel that there should be no doubt that TCM will only work with you in a manner that serves them.  "Good will" is not a part of the TCM lexicon, but that's not anything new...

New technology is exciting, but it's not without it's own "break in" period...the "latest" isn't necessarily the "greatest".

Looking forward to PRISM tho'..... :)
