" You failed to specify what type of Lancair you have. I answered for my IV-P, where the clearance under the oil pan to the retracted nose gear strut is less than one inch. If you're building a different model, this may not be a factor...on the other hand, if you're one of those folks trying to shoehorn a 550 into a Legacy, you probably have more "fit" issues than the clearance of an oil drain plug... You failed to specify what type of Lancair you have. I = answered for my=20 IV-P, where the clearance under the oil pan to  the retracted nose gear strut is = less than one inch. If you're building a different model, this = may not be=20 a factor...on the other hand, if you're one of those folks trying to = shoehorn=20 a 550 into a Legacy, you probably have more "fit" issues than the = clearance of=20 an oil drain plug...
