To LNC2 owners with the forward hinged canopy  --  How do you remove
or reinstall it?
I find it a bit of a challenge to connect the hinges now before I have
the plexiglas mounted in the canopy frame, or anything installed between
the instrument panel and header tank. It seems once all that stuff is in
place the hinges will be totally inaccessibly. What's the secret?

I use a bathroom shower rod to hold up the canopy after removal of the canopy gas struts.  It is one of those adjustable 2 piece rods with the rubber ends that has a spring inside which can be adjusted in length by simply turning the outside of the rods.  The base of the shower rod is placed at the intersection of the seat back and the center console.  The internal spring is spongy so the rod can be compressed a few inches easily (the shower rod works great in my pickup bed to hold stuff in place too).

One other helper on the other side of the plane to remove the hinge bolts (at the canopy) and support the canopy.  Then we lift the canopy slightly up and walk forward over the cowl and prop.  Don't forget to grab the shower rod.

My header tank is a tight fit with everthing around it (hinge pin retained), so it is not feasible to remove it while attached and along with the canopy.
