Rick,

I too had/have a condition where it appeared that the left wing was heavy.
Indication was the same as on your airplane with the left aileron slightly
down and the right aileron slightly up.

Before I adjusted this apparent misalignment, I had the opportunity to fly
with someone in the right seat.  At that time the ailerons were in even
positions, not up or down, during cruise.  I'm finding that the airplane is
very sensitive to slight changes in lateral weight imbalances.  After
fueling to full and during the early part of the flight I'm continually
adjusting the airleron trim and switching fuel tanks.

Maybe you didn't see it, but somebody suggested that the skin surface that
supports the counterweight may need to be beefed up.  This may be the answer
to your problem.
