You asked about using piano hinges and no screws.  I'm impressed with the
treatment Jim Rahm used on N420HP.  It uses hinges on the upper and lower
halves and the firewall as well.  There is one screw on each side and
that's it.  Give Jim a call at Engineair - I'm sure he'd share info on how it's
done.

  By the way, have you considered using composite hinges for this purpose?
