the following questions and have included his answers. Let us know as
soon as someone gets a set of these. They sound promising.

What information do you need in to order these shocks? I assume that you
need the length of the existing shock, anything else?
What are KONI components?
Are there any of these shocks flying here in the U.S.?
How long have they been flying in New Zealand?
How many Lancairs total have them installed.
Any problems?
How can I order a set for a U.S. aircraft?
Do you accept credit cards or American checks?
How long does it take to get them?
Are there any customs fees in addition to the price you listed?
Do you have any estimate of the shipping cost to the U.S.?

Koni is a brand of European Shock absorbers that are designed for high
performance situations. They are similar to Bilstein in quality and a
definite step above Monroe etc.
Like others I had not been able to contact Reiger in Holland and so decided
to have them made locally here in NZ. The prototypes turned out so well and
the interest expressed from others such as yourself has been so much that I
decided to take the plunge and have a batch made up for sale.
At this stage, my aircraft is the only one flying in NZ with these shocks
although by the sound if it there are a number flying in Holland with the
ones made by Reiger. I presume that they are also using the Koni oleo
I have had no problems at all with the shocks since I've been using them
over the last couple of months.
Because Visa, Amex etc take such a high % for transacting business (about
3%) I am not able to take credit cards - The margin is just too small and I
want to be able to keep the price down for Lancair owners. However, a TT or
draft to my bank (details on the order form) will be fine !
Freight to the US will probably be about $20 or so - I'll find out and let
you know.
As far as I'm aware, there are no customs duty charges on the components -
some research done by Marv Kaye indicates that they should be declared as
"Aircraft Parts, Civil aircraft, undercarriage & parts thereof" - item
number 8803.20.00 and that this item is duty free.
Delivery time at the moment is about 4 weeks - my first batch is away being
machined and it will take a while to have them built up and tested.
I'm certainly planning to show them to Lancair - perhaps they might put
them in the catalogue - you can be sure that the price will have to go up a
bit though !
