In discussing my brake problem with a couple of people, I am told that we have to 'burn-in' new brake linings prior to flying. Since I did not know this, I never did it and could have caused my Matco linings to chip. From what I gather, we are suppose to 'ride' the brakes while taxing at higher than normal power setting, thereby, heating up the pads considerably. After this, we should allow the brakes to cool down either by taking-off or parking the plane till it cools down. Taking-off right after this exercise is probably a risky approach, IMHO, since the brakes may not work when you land. I will simply park the plane and let it cool down, then test the brakes again. Any second opinion on this matter? Rick Argente N360ZR --it flies!!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML homepage: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html
