I didn't find anything appropriate in the ACS catalog, but did manage to find a "Flush Latch" (part number H5000-2, p171 in the 96 catalog under the "Miscellaneous" heading) in an older Wicks catalog... it looks just like the latches that are used on the dipstick access doors found on Pipers and other production aircraft. I'm curious to know if any of you have used these on your projects anywhere, or if you have other recommendations for a better or more appropriate piece of hardware for the task. Any suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated. TIA >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML homepage: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html
