When fitting the top and bottom cowl to eachother and also to the forward
deck/fuselage, what would be a minimum gap between all surfaces to eliminate
the possibility of chafing? This gap would of course need to be established
prior to any application of primer or paint.

I was thinking .040 to .050 or four to six layers of duct tape BETWEEN all
surfaces but not necessarily the edges initially. Spacing between edges would
probably need to be .0625 before paint.What has worked well for all of you?
