I explained to him that I expected Lancair to recall the part, and replace it with a valve rated for the pressures it must sustain. (The hydraulic line produces 1200psi pressures which go into the valve rated at only 600psi). He said he would look into the problem, and perhaps issue a service bulletin on the valve. So that this issue doesn't disappear under some anonymous mound of paperwork, it would be quite helpful if all builders, interested in having the part replaced, e-mail a little note to Orrin, from the Lancair home page. I'm sure Lancair would be eager to identify such a blatant problem, and rectify it immediately...at their expense.
