TCM seems to be taking him seriously in regard to his crankshaft problem. I, too am concerned with the oil ring problem and would like to negotiate a repair before putting our engine into service next fall. The engine is now out of warrantee having never been run since delivery. Is anyone aware of a fix for the IO550G/TSIO550G top end problem so far? Stu. Forwarded note: Stu: We are having the work done at Maxair in Appleton since they just installed the new one and maybe it would be good for you to contact Continental immediately and see if Maxair could do yours also. Maxair has some engines that are under this recall also and Continental is going to send an inspector up here. If you are interested call Maxair @ 920-738-3020 and ask for Paul. They are going to work fast on this and since your motor is in the crate they could probably do it along with the rest of them Immediately.
