I opted not to install a CB on the panel for my 35A alternator output - I
went with a 40A automotive-type "Maxi-Fuse" mounted on the firewall, instead.

The main reason I did this was to keep all high-current wiring away from
the mag compass on the panel.

I adopted the same philosophy with the hydraulic pump circuit protection as
well. The 40A Maxi-Fuse for that one is down on the right side of the NLG
tunnel near where I installed the bypass valve. I put a tie-wrap around the
fuse and left the tail sticking up so I could grab it and extract the fuse
without a tool in an emergency.
