RST engineering has a lot of the supplies available for building antennae,

The guy in charge (I forget his name) writes articles for "Kitplanes" about
homebuilt electronics and is very sharp.

[His name is Jim Weir, and for about $30 + shipping he has a kit and
instructions for building just about every antenna you might need on an average homebuilt.  Several of our subscribers have built his antennae
and are having excellent luck with them...  if you combine his kit
with a monthly rental of Bob Nuckolls VSWR meter ($25) you can tune them
