Anyway, my question is... "How much force is required to deflect the joystick in the pitch direction?" I've just installed my joysticks into the aileron torque tubes and it seems to take an inordinate amount of force to deflect the joystick even without the elevator attached. My concern is that this force gets multiplied by two when the hardware is installed as the other joystick will then contribute to the force required. It also seemed to me that the amount I had to force the torque tube open to get the joystick in was quite a lot, about 1/16". Any comments? Pat. Three short years to go. Lancair ES [Pat... using LIV or LES as a designator for those aircraft when posting is fine. We just find that using the LNC2 for the 2-seaters is an all- encompassing designator for them, and announces the post as being aimed in their direction.
