Swain : Hello All, I am progressing at a snails pace, working on the wings. In the process of getting ready to install the tie down, I read the manual , understood where and how to install, went to the parts bin got the tie down assembly only to find its not what was described in the manual. The manual describes slide in pin and lock system and the tie down that I have is a simple threaded rod welded to a small square plate with 4 holes in it, with an eye bolt that screws into the threaded rod. Looks like an updated replacement but I don't have any instrucrtions on the installation. My question is , does this tie down bolt on the front spar or does it mount similiar to the instructions for the slide pin lock. Looks to me like it would bolt onto the spar with 4 bid overlapping and then sealing the assembly to prevent fuel leaks. (we have extended fuel tanks) If anyone has installed this type of tie down, let me know how you installed yours. I read this forum daily and certainly enjoy all the interesting dialogue. Thanks Richard (we appreciate all the hard work Marv) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML homepage: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html
