About to work on the main gear hydraulic cylinder installation and just unpacked the components (in a box for the last 9 years). I was thinking that dry cycling of the cylinders during alignment and installation will cause seals to prematurely wear and contempleated putting a tubing loop from inlet to outlet and filling the cylinder (as best as I could) with hydraulic fluid to luibricate the seals.
Has anyone else done so or is there some sort of lube in the AROTEK cylinders so wear during dry cycling does not excessively wear the seals.
Thanks for any reply.
