Gee, as a long time soaring pilot as well as a Lancair pilot I beg to differ in regards to the tail force.  As the CG moves forward the tail exerts a downward force to counteract the moment arm created by the forward weight.  As the weight moves rearward the necessary down force needed by the tail is lessened.  Granted this force is relatively small, it still ends up being a force that the wing ends up having to "carry".  This is why glider pilots try to fly with the CG as far back as stability and their skills allow them.  In the grand scheme of things the stability or lack thereof are more of an issue to a pilot than the small differences in wing loading.  Can be a confusing topic until you sort of wrap your head around it...
