Not really. I usually don't pull the throttle all the way back until I have the runway made. This is spread out over three or four years. On the other hand, maybe that's why I'm uncomfortable at the slow flight regimen - like circling Lake Parker for hours at 1200' and 115 mph (OK, OK, so I took a break for maybe 1/2 hour from the holding pattern - flew up to Zephyr Hills and chatted with some guys there). I'm now convinced (after about half a dozen such engine outs) that the
constant velocity Mikuni carbs ARE susceptible to icing.

It's always been after steep descents (lots of cool air), throttle all
the way back.
