Rusty, I spoke with Ed aboout his variable intake and he said that he adjusted it to a
good setting for takeoff and left it there for the entire flight. He wasn't
comfortable enough with it yet to mess with the adjustment in flight. Seems he
has a special knack for finding unusual failure modes on things that fly.
