John (rotten weather = no flying) Well, to be honest, I haven't done much tuning in flight yet. From what I can tell, tying the plane down, and running it on the ground has given me good numbers. What you describe, is pretty much how I do the original round of tuning, but once that's over, I use mode 9, to adjust the mixture a little at a time, particularly for anything I need to do in flight.
