The angle is measured
at the tip, which is per Warp Drive's instructions, using a protractor that
they provide with the prop. You first use the prop hub angle as a zero
point, then measure the flat, rear side of the
blade.
FWIW, on
the Warp, this angle is not a good indication of the overall pitch of the
blade, so it really can't be compared with any other prop, or used for any sort
of calculation. For example, 13 degrees at the tip of a 68 inch prop comes
out to 48 inches of pitch. When I enter my TAS and rpm numbers into a
couple of prop programs, they agree that my 13 degree setting is actually a 58
inch of effective pitch. 15 degrees seems to work out to 63 inches of
effective pitch.
Sorry to hear about the
continuing coil problems.
