Maybe my problem is that I can't get it to idle very well below about 2000 rpm.  Tearing the engine apart may help me solve that problem though.  I noticed that rotor 1 is dry with a white-yellow coating while rotor 2 is dark and wet.  Its time to have the injectors checked, but at least I know which rotor is running too lean.

That's interesting. I'm finding the opposite. In fact, I don't wear my
headset when taxiing because I can't hear the engine with it on. Half a
dozen people have commented that the engine sounds quieter than a Cessna.
I'm using a single stage stock '91 turbo.
