I was afraid of this.  We have a spammer harvesting addresses
from our list archive.

Dale R.

I never thought about the archive...  Recently, I've been getting a lot of official looking "returned mail" messages from a postmaster address.  They show my address as the one that tried to send some virus to some address on their system.  Naturally, it's no address I've ever heard of, and I'm 99.9% sure my system is clean.  I figured this was a case where some virus program was inserting my address in the "reply to" field, but I don't know for sure where they got my address.

If anyone has any reason to believe my machine has sent you a virus, I'd sure want to know about it, but I can't believe it's happened.

Cheers,
Rusty (Norton AV with automatic updates, and living behind a router)
