Fin and Jeff, thanks for your inputs.  Fin: will the OAT still work normally if “shorted”?  Mine is still functioning as always, while the “A” side is dead.  Is it correct to assume it’s NOT likely to be the A/B switch, since there are only two poles connecting that to the board?  Hope to open the EC2 cover today and look inside….
