I’ve flown Dennis Haverlah’s 7A now for about 100 hrs, and his great install continues to impress me! Cruising around at 150-155 mph TAS while burning 8.3-8.8 GPH of 87 octane Sam’s gas (lately $1.95/gal.!) has been great fun! Since I have a nice “flying” rotary a/c, I’ve decided to pull the 13B from my 9A, and install an IO360 I got for a great price last month. I initially thot I’d finish the 9A I’ve been bldg since ‘99, but since the 7A is and has been running so well since 2007, it doesn’t seem to make sense to tear it apart and add the Lycoming there. One question: have any of you experienced a slight “shudder” while cruising along leaned out? I have experienced that from the first flight intermittently, and it seems to be random and happening while leaned out from 15.8 or higher… Fly safe. Doug
