Not deadstick, Mine was 200' on first ever takeoff. Loss of coolant, clamp failure. Engine continued fine for low level turn back for landing (seemed best option at time & I was lucky, think I'm a bit older/wiser now. ) with no fwd visibility. I dont really plan for dead-stick as from this incident I know instinct then training kicks in. If the prop is stopped gravity wins. Its up to you to keep flying right to the end.

I’m curious from any still on the list who have experienced a “dead stick” landing situation, if the propellor stopped spinning or not when the engine failed?
I also wonder if an engine has waning compression, if it would be more likely to free wheel in an engine out situation?
thanks.
