Today I finally filled my hangar with smoke and made all the neighbors come see what the funny noise was all about.   After much trouble shooting, I had unraveled the following problems:

1)  The EC2 cannot share the CAS inputs with a Rocky Mountain Instruments engine monitor (not enough power).  Simply clipping a wire solved that problem for the EC2.  Thanks to Todd's pules divider and the tach output from the EC2 I will still be able to have a good signal to the RMI engine monitor as well.

2)  CAS was installed incorrectly by Atkins aviation making the timing about 90 deg off.

3)  My aftermarket pully seems to be marked at 5 deg ATDC and TDC instead of the typical 5 and 20 deg BTDC.  Finally got it started but could only keep it running with difficulty until it warmed up a little.  Still ran pretty rough probably because the timming is still probably a little off.  Once it warmmed up some and I could lean it without it stopping it ran a little smoother.  It was just getting to the point where the EGT was warm enough to start using the o2 sensor when coolant started speuing into the air.

The leak is commig from where the water pump seaals with the engine block...  That is going to be a real hassle to fix as to get the water pump off I have to remove the entire engine.

There were also 2 small oil leaks.  But all problems aside, it sure does feel good!
