Hi, Bulent....my problem is that I have a Canard aircraft. The wing
incidence is set by placing washers between the wing and the strake to make
the final adjustments on wing incidence so that the aircraft will fly hands
off.  When I built my LongEZ, I had to install one washer on the left wing.
Then, because the wing and the fuel strake no longer lined up, I had to sand
some material off the top of the strake, and add some filler to the bottom
of the strake (approximately 1/16 th of an inch) so that the wings and
strakes mated perfectly. I would hate to have to sand off parts of my nice
paint job to do that.
    My friend here in Mobile, AL had the same problem with his Cozy MK IV.
(Dan Kruger).  Unfortunately, he painted his aircraft first (nice job), then
had to shim his wing incidence, and the wings no longer line up with the
strakes. He doesen't relish the thought of sanding into his beautiful paint
job, and adding microballoon fillers on the opposite side of the fuel
strakes, but it looks like that is his only option. I feel bad for him. He
spent many hours buffing that paint job to a beautiful lustre. I think I'll
get it flying straight and true and then spring for the paint job. Also,
because I have a pusher, if the oil seal blows, the engine is in the back,
and most of the oil should go behind me. Might have to clean my cowlings
with acetone.  Just my opinion.  Paul Conner
